Are Yearly Cleanings Important?

Summer will be over sooner than you think. Don’t let the cold sneak up on you! Before autumns chilly nights set in, you’ll need to make an appointment to have your heater serviced. All heating systems are recommended to have at least a yearly service.

Without a yearly cleaning and inspection, your heating system could stop working as efficiently or stop working completely. A clean heating system will save you hundreds of dollars in fuel costs and prolong the life of the system.

Furnace manufacturers all recommend annual inspections and maintenance. Regular cleaning helps prevent major issues as your heating system gets older. The best analogy is going to the dentist every six months for a checkup and cleaning; getting your teeth cleaned and checked helps to prevent thousands of dollars in root canals when the damage is to bad to just clean and repair.

Preventive maintenance is about sometimes catching a problem before your furnace stops working in the middle of the night.
